Those neat little moments

I was making an order on Specialty Bottle for a stock-up on those little 1-dram oil vials and also I needed one roll-on bottle and a few other small witchy-shit containers, when the Small Nope Voice poked me to order one 8oz square tin along with the other stuff.

I had no idea what I needed it for but when the Small Nope Voice tells me to add something to an order I’m making anyway that’s only gonna cost me a whole extra 98 cents, there’s not much reason for resisting. Even if it feels like a “you’re really gonna be glad if you get this” rather than “you absolutely critically need this and nothing else will do and no you can’t wait til the next time you make an order while you figure out what it’s for”.

Order arrived the other day and turns out that tin is exactly the right size to contain my oil vials so they don’t get scattered around the bottom of my witchin’-shit drawer. Yes, I probably could have figured this out if I’d been checking the measurements of stuff closely, but I did not do that thing (also while height would have been easy, the fit for sideways dimensions would have required calculations and ain’t nobody got time for that).

Exactly 20 1-dram vials will fit, snug enough they don’t rattle around, and the height is so exact that even a single vial won’t fall over if the tin lid is on snug.

So heads up witches, if you work with stuff that 1-dram vials are the right size for (it looks like the wider 2-dram ones are the same height, but I don’t have any of those so I can’t check the sideways fit), or want some mini vials of your go-to stuff for a travel kit, one of these tins is a great way to keep them contained and safe for storage and/or transportation.

Now I just need to figure out how I want to label the caps so that I can tell which vial is which without having to pull everything out. I’ll probably cut circles out from blank label stickers and write/draw on them.
